Kristina Newton Clarinet Epsom UK

Back to my roots

Among our concert venues in England this year, I’ll admit I have a favourite. On Saturday 21st of June at 12 noon, Dialogue of Minds will be performing at The Horton in Epsom… just minutes away from the hospital I was born in. Growing up in Epsom area, my childhood was filled with dance lessons, trips to the library and cycling in Nonsuch Park. If my family hadn’t moved away when I was in high school, I’m sure I would have also spent a lot of time at The Horton, which opened in 2022. Formally a chapel, this grade II-listed building was renovated into a cultural space for art exhibitions, heritage research and performances across genres.

The Horton is a not-for-profit venue, managed by registered charity Horton Chapel Arts & Heritage Society. By attending our performance at The Horton, you are not only supporting the charity and its ongoing work, but strengthening the tradition of quality artistry in the Epsom area. In fact, why not make a day out of it, with lunch at The Horton Café-Bar and a stroll around the exhibits!

I’m so grateful to The Horton staff and volunteers for welcoming Dialogue of Minds to their stage and am looking forward to sharing my music with the town that raised me.
